Using TimeToBook on your phone

TimeToBook works in your phone's web browser. Here's how to get around on a small screen, add it to your home screen, and where the iPhone app is up to.

TimeToBook works fully in the web browser on your phone, so there's nothing to download. Sign in at the same address you use on your computer and everything is there: the calendar, clients, staff and services, and settings.

Is there an app?

Not in the App Store or Google Play yet. Our iPhone app is in testing with a small group of salons before it launches, so you won't find it if you search the App Store. There isn't an Android app yet.

If you'd like to try the iPhone app early, contact support and ask to join the beta. You can also click I'm Interested on the Mobile App card on the Roadmap.

If you're testing the app, note that your business settings are view-only in the app. To change things like services, hours or your booking page, sign in on a web browser (on your phone or computer).

Add TimeToBook to your home screen

You can put a TimeToBook icon on your home screen so it opens in one tap, like an app:

  • iPhone (Safari): sign in, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.
  • Android (Chrome): sign in, tap the ⋮ menu, then Add to Home screen.

Getting around on a small screen

  • The main menu (Dashboard, Calendar, Staff & Services, Clients and so on) is tucked away on small screens. Tap the menu icon (three lines) in the top-left corner to open it.
  • The top bar has Support, Ask Tim, the Roadmap, notifications and your account menu. On a phone these show as icons without labels.
  • Settings sections are in a dropdown at the top of the Settings page. Tap it to switch between sections like Business Hours or Booking Page.

The calendar on your phone

  • Switch between Day and Week with the buttons at the top of the Calendar.
  • If you have several staff members, the day view shows a column for each person and the week view shows a column for each day. On a narrow screen, swipe sideways to see the columns that don't fit.
  • In the week view with several staff, tap a day's heading to jump to that day.
  • To add a booking, tap the + button at the top.

Dragging bookings doesn't work on a touchscreen. This is on purpose, so you can't move a booking by accident while scrolling. To move a booking on your phone, tap it to open it, change the Date, Start Time or Staff, and tap Save Changes.

Seeing bookings in your phone's calendar

If you'd like your bookings to appear in Apple Calendar or Google Calendar alongside everything else, you can subscribe to a read-only feed. See Subscribing to your calendar on your phone.
