Booking software for waxing and hair removal studios
Waxing is a volume business: 15-minute underarms, 30-minute Brazilians, clients every 4 to 6 weeks, and a day that falls apart if someone turns up ten minutes late. TimeToBook gives you a booking page that runs on 15-minute slots, combo services with their own prices, automatic reminders when regrowth is due, and deposits on the appointments worth protecting. One specialist is free.
Free for one staff member. No card needed. Last updated 28 October 2026.
The short version
TimeToBook suits waxing and sugaring studios of one to about ten specialists who want fast online booking, a tight calendar, reminders and rebooking prompts, and no marketplace commission. Laser clinics can use it for the day-to-day diary, but it has no course packages, session counters, intake forms or machine scheduling, so a clinic selling six-session laser courses runs the course itself and uses TimeToBook for the diary.
Waxing studios by the numbers
Figures we use when we talk to waxing specialists. Every one links to where it came from.
- 4 to 6 weeks
- The regrowth cycle most studios book to. Hair should be 1 to 2cm long, and growth speeds up in summer.
- 1%
- No-show rate at waxing centres, the lowest of any beauty category in the benchmark, against a US$34 median ticket.
- 62%
- Of client cancellations in UK hair and beauty give under 24 hours notice.
- 21%
- Fewer cancellations and no-shows for beauty businesses that switched on cancellation fees.

What waxing specialists need from booking software
The problems that come up every time we talk to waxing studio owners, and what TimeToBook does about each one.
| The need | How TimeToBook handles it |
|---|---|
| Short services, back to back, all day | Services can be as short as 5 minutes, and online start times are offered every 15 minutes by default (every 30 or on the hour if you want a tidier day). Most studios list lip, chin and underarm at 15 minutes each and a Brazilian at 30 so appointments stack cleanly. The week view shows every specialist side by side so gaps are obvious. Feature details |
| Combos with their own price: Brazilian and underarm, full leg and bikini | Make each combo its own service with its own duration and price, and put it in a "Combos" category on the booking page. Clients can also add several single services to one booking and the calendar draws them as one connected appointment. Feature details |
| Pricing by weeks since the last visit | Studios that charge more after 8 weeks list the tiers as separate services ("Brazilian, 4 to 6 weeks" and "Brazilian, 8 weeks or first visit"). TimeToBook does not pick the tier for the client from their history, so the honest setup is to let them choose and correct it at the appointment if needed. Their last visit date is on the booking screen. Feature details |
| Clients back before the regrowth gets away on them | Give each waxing service a 4 or 5-week rebook interval. With TimeToBook Plus, clients who have not rebooked get a friendly email with a one-tap link when they are due. Regulars who always book their next visit on the way out can be booked every N weeks in one go with repeat bookings. Feature details |
| Late arrivals that wreck a tight day | SMS reminders go out 24 hours before with the exact time; email reminders are free. Clients can cancel themselves from the manage link inside your notice window, which frees the slot for someone else, and no-shows are marked on the client record. Where online payments are available, deposits on the longer services stop the casual no-show. Feature details |
| Separate men's and women's menus | Service categories do this: "Women's waxing", "Men's waxing", "Sugaring", "Laser". Each service is assigned only to the specialists who do it, so a client picking a men's back wax only sees the people who offer it. Feature details |
| Laser courses, patch tests and consultations | A consultation and patch test can be a bookable service that new laser clients must book first, 24 hours to a week before session one. The sessions themselves can be booked as a series with repeat bookings (Plus). What TimeToBook does not do is count sessions against a paid course, take instalments, or store medical questionnaires. A laser machine shared between operators can be set up as a bookable resource so it is never double-booked. Feature details |
A waxing studio service menu, as TimeToBook stores it
Every service in TimeToBook has a duration, optional processing time (hands-off time another client can be booked into), optional buffer time (clean-down nobody can book into), a price, and a rebook interval that drives automatic rebooking reminders. Here is a typical waxing studio menu set up that way. Durations are typical, not rules; adjust them to how you actually work.
Waxing rebook intervals follow the 4 to 6 week regrowth cycle; laser follows the clinic norm of 4 to 6 weeks for underarms and bikini and 6 to 8 for legs. The 5-minute buffer on intimate waxing is bed and room reset.
| Service | Duration | Buffer | Rebook | Typical price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lip and chin | 15 min | – | 4 wks | £10 to £17 |
| Underarm | 15 min | – | 4 wks | £7 to £20 |
| Bikini | 15 min | – | 5 wks | £15 to £25 |
| Brazilian | 30 min | 5 min | 5 wks | £25 to £30 |
| Brazilian, first visit or 8+ weeks | 45 min | 5 min | 5 wks | £30 to £35 |
| Half leg | 30 min | – | 5 wks | £22 to £30 |
| Full leg | 45 min | – | 5 wks | £30 to £45 |
| Full leg, Brazilian and underarm Combo | 75 min | 5 min | 5 wks | £60 to £85 |
| Men's back | 30 min | – | 6 wks | £30 |
| Men's chest | 30 min | – | 6 wks | £20 |
| Sugaring, Hollywood | 45 min | – | 5 wks | £55 |
| Laser consultation and patch test New laser clients, at least 24 to 48 hours before session one | 30 min | – | – | Free |
| Laser, underarm | 15 min | – | 5 wks | £30 to £86 |
| Laser, full leg | 45 min | – | 7 wks | £95 to £303 |
Typical prices are UK ranges from published salon menus, checked October 2026. Set your own in TimeToBook; the software does not dictate pricing.

Is TimeToBook right for your waxing studio?
Simple on purpose. Here is who it suits best, and the few things we leave out.
A good fit if you…
- Run a waxing or sugaring studio with one to about ten specialists, including a home or mobile setup
- Want clients to book quick services online in 15-minute slots without calling
- Want automatic "you are due" reminders at 4 to 6 weeks instead of chasing regulars
- Would rather pay a flat per-staff fee than a per-booking commission
What we don’t do
- Laser course packages with session counts, expiry and instalment payments
- Medical questionnaires or consent forms captured in the booking flow
Questions waxing specialists ask us
-
Can clients book 10-minute services like a lip wax?
- Yes. A service can be as short as 5 minutes. Online start times are offered every 15 minutes by default, so a 10-minute lip wax booked at 9:00 leaves the next online slot at 9:15 unless you book into the gap yourself. Most studios list lip and chin together as one 15-minute service so the day stacks cleanly.
-
Can I charge a different price for a first-time or overdue Brazilian?
- Yes, by listing it as a separate service with its own duration and price. TimeToBook does not work out which tier a client qualifies for; they pick it when they book and you can change the service on the booking if they got it wrong. The client's last visit date is shown on every booking so you can see at a glance.
-
How do rebooking reminders work for waxing?
- Each service has a rebook interval, 4 to 6 weeks for most waxing. Once that interval has passed since a client's last visit and they have nothing booked, TimeToBook Plus emails them a short reminder with a one-tap link to book again. It stops nagging once they book.
-
Can I take a deposit on long appointments?
- Yes, with TimeToBook Plus where online payments are available in your region. Deposits are set per service, so a 75-minute combo can require one while a 15-minute underarm does not. The deposit is refunded automatically if the client cancels inside your notice window and kept if they do not show.
-
Does TimeToBook handle laser packages?
- Not as packages. You can book a six-session course as six appointments in one go with repeat bookings, spaced 4 to 8 weeks apart, and take the course payment outside the system. There is no session counter, course expiry or instalment plan. If that is central to your clinic, you run the course outside TimeToBook and use it for the diary.
-
Can I set different hours for each specialist?
- Yes. Every staff member has their own working hours, including a two-week A and B rota, plus one-off time off. Online booking only offers times inside the specialist's hours and your business hours.
-
Is TimeToBook free?
- For one bookable person, yes, with no time limit. Each additional specialist is a flat monthly fee, shown on the pricing page for your region. SMS reminders use prepaid credits that never expire; email reminders are free. There is no commission on bookings.
